More on the B-26 Marauder.
Flak Bait was the most famous B-26 (not a B-17) of World War II, having flown 202 bombing missions with the 9th Air Force out of England. She was riddled with over 900 flak holes that had to be patched. The cabin of the plane now resides in the Air and Space Museum of the Smithsoneum(sp?) in Washington D.C.
